PROTEIN_UP SDL is a food for special medical purposes in powder form suitable for the dietary management of patients with a serious protein and/or glutathione deficit.

Dosage is according to patient and is to be defined by the attending practitioner on the basis of the patient’s various requirements. In general, the recommended dose is one sachet/one full measuring scoop (10 g) once or twice daily. Consume the product immediately, or within 24 hours if the preparation is kept in the fridge. The product is highly soluble, allowing it to be administered via PEG tube or nasogastric tube when dissolved in water or another suitable liquid.

Oral use: pour the contents of one sachet/one measuring scoop (10 g) into a dry glass, add 100-200 ml of water or milk (either warm or at room temperature) and stir thoroughly until smooth. Use with a feeding tube: completely dissolve the contents of one sachet/measuring scoop (10 g) in water (75-150 ml) and administer with a syringe via the feeding tube. Clean the feeding tube before and after administration with 50-60 ml of water. The powder can be mixed with tube-feeding formula. It is recommended to prepare the product directly when needed.

The product must be used according to instructions and under medical supervision. The product is not suitable for use as a sole source of nutrition and must not be injected.

Keep in, a cool, dry place at room temperature. The date of minimum durability refers to the product stored appropriately in an unopened package.
